BEAUTIFUL NOTHING

MFA Directing

Sam is Hollywood’s new breakout social media sensation. She’s built a pillow fort and she won’t come out.

Deep fakes. Dick pics. Disappointed parents. God it’s good to be a girl.

Sam is a young star thrust into the public eye, facing scandal in the media, unrelenting contractual obligations and an agent who’s a complete rhymes with runt. Forced into a fake relationship with her co-star to promote a new film, she can barely keep track of what’s real. The eyes of the world are on her, but she just can’t leave her hotel room. The fans tell her she’s everything, so why does she feel like nothing?

Beautiful Nothing is performed as part of
the MFA Directing Season, 2024.
