Information for new students
Hello!
Congratulations and welcome to East 15 Acting School!
We are so excited that you are joining us for your training. In order to get yourself ready for your time here, there are a number of key things you will need to know. The majority of these will be sent to you personally in emails either from us, or from University teams.
Getting ready for life at East 15
Accommodation - Loughton
Our Loughton East 15 students live and study in the local area and our Student Services Team are here to help with any questions you may have. Choose between a shared house, living with a landlord or letting a whole house.
If you have any questions, or want to be linked up with fellow students looking to share housing, contact our Student Services Team.
Accommodation - Southend
University Square is the on-site accommodation at our Southend Campus. Just a 2 minute walk to the main Gateway Building and Town Centre and a 5 minute walk to our Clifftown Theatre, University Square flats all have en suite bathrooms and shared kitchens. There is also a large common room, launderette and courtyard.
Welcome Week
Welcome Week is a time for you to meet with your fellow students and tutors, complete Registration and find out more about the services available to you. It is important that you attend this week as it will prepare you ready to start your studies the following Monday.
Welcome Week schedules are usually made available in September and further information will be sent to you when they are issued.
Your school timetable will be issued to you during Welcome Week. All students should expect to be in timetabled lessons Monday to Friday, 9am to 6:15pm.
Registration
You can start your University registration online and usually opens at the beginning of September.
When you register, you become an official member of our community and get full access to our facilities and services.

Equipment Lists and Preparation
Read and download our equipment and pre-course preparation lists Lists are usually updated at the end of August. However, these are a good indication of what might be needed.
These are crucial documents to prepare you for the work and study at East 15, including key pieces of equipment, clothing, and in many cases preparatory work that needs to be completed ahead of your arrival.
