It’s 1983, the Bronx, Hip-hop is the word on the street. Set against a back-drop of New York gangland activity, we travel with Othello through a heart-gripping labyrinth of love, sisterhood, jealousy, betrayal and a mind spiralling into the depths.
Othello is a charismatic leader. Their crew are at the top of their game - friends with the gangland power brokers, controlling and defending their interests in many districts. They’re the outsider, earning their place by quick decisions made in battle where there is no room for shades of grey. Passionately in love with Desdemona, they’re on top, their reputation spreading far and wide.
But they’ve side-lined their battle comrade Iago, promoting Cassio instead.
