Meet Rab, a millowner’s orphaned son. He’s been left nothing but his mother’s love and her rather strange cat, whilst his two good-for-nothing, bullying siblings have been left the family mill. Definitely not fair! Heartbroken, Rab sets off to seek his fortune, followed by the feisty feline, only to discover his mother’s mystery cat has some rather curious skills. Together they encounter adventures galore, a little bit of magic and a little bit more, some goodies, some baddies and some in between and an evil witch who is really dangerous and mean. So, what happens to Rab, will he be lucky or not, will he find what he’s looking for, or amount to nought?
