Steffany George, Assistant Head of Movement
Steffany George is from the USA.
Steffany George has been working with actors for over seventeen years; first as a movement director and choreographer for Theleotheater, and most notably, teaching movement for actors, coaching, and directing plays at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City. As a founding member of MAD Movement and Dance, a collective that explores movement as an essential language, she initiated MADAIR an artist residence programme and taught on the Physical Theatre Intensive, all of which are part of the Harold Clurman Lab. Steffany has received support for Subdermal in collaboration with Mark Jarecke from Danspace Project and a commission from The Nagouchi Museum with Topaz Arts for her own work Gone Bye. She performed as a contemporary dancer in numerous productions in both New York and Germany.
She continues her love of contact improvisation while living in London.
