Clifford Milner is from the UK
Clifford has worked extensively in theatre, television and radio, including roles in A Very Open Prison, Brookside, Drop the Dead Donkey, Poirot, Pork Pie, The Bill, Trial and Retribution II and IV, Uncle Jack, and the BAFTA award winning Middlemarch for the BBC.
He has an MA in Directing from Middlesex University and the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow where he studied the work of Stanislavski, Chekhov and Meyerhold.
He ran workshops for The English Shakespeare Company and has directed numerous Shakespearean, early 2Oth Century and contemporary plays at many leading British drama schools. He toured the play Rule 43 in theatres, art centres, the Edinburgh Festival and 25 UK prisons, resulting in it being nominated as best new play in the Manchester Evening News theatre awards.
As well as directing innumerable plays in theatres that include The Oldham Coliseum Theatre, The Old Rep Birmingham, The Tabard Theatre, London, The Crescent Theatre, Birmingham and The Lowry, Salford, his production of Three Steps to Heaven at Watford Palace Theatre broke box office records and received wide critical acclaim.
He is a member of the Directors Guild of Great Britain (DGGB) and external examiner for the IES London.
